Like my many posts over the last three hundred and something days that have been spent blogging, thinking of plot lines and eating my worth in chocolate vodka cake and testing out Lady Blacksnot’s newest batch of pina coladas, I am once again in my favourite spot at the dining room table.
With the lingering and soul soothing sounds of Bing Crosby and his dreaming of a White Christmas, it can be stated that my Christmas for 2016 shall not be spent knee deep in white magical, cold stuff. Instead, I shall be spending my Christmas galloping around the country side in the back of a speeding car, whilst dealing –battling- against the wind whipping through my hair before I give up, laughing.
Prior to signing off for my internet and blogging free Christmas Holiday, as this could be my very final Christmas holiday for a while –or so I’ve been saying for the last three years…ssh!- I just wanted to slither and slide my body down your chimney and leave this message under your Christmas tree. So, I shall keep things simple, sweet with an extra dash of sugar and fluffy like Lois’ meringue.
To my Dearest and most adored Reader,
I wanted to thank you for making these past three hundred and something days that little bit more fancy, special and brighter. Not to mention, the amount of time I’ve spent in front of a computer, trying to think of interesting posts to write about so you as a Reader, gain a sense of who I am and what I’m interested in as a woman and writer.
2016 has been spent enjoying reading and replying to your comments, questions and gaining a better understanding of who you are as a person and Dearest Reader. I never really gave much thought about the impact Scarlett O’Chunky has had on you until seeing certain posts have been liked, reblogged, retweeted and people have started following this lifestyle blog. You, as a person, have encouraged and inspired me to wake up with a passion and as a result, have continued striving towards writing about posts that I find interesting.
Hopefully when I return in 2017 with a new brain load of ideas, pictures and blog posts waiting to be written, the new year shall bring further luck to Scarlett O’Chunky and to you as well.
Until then Dearest Reader, I sincerely wish you nothing but the merriest of all Christmas dreams and wishes. Hopefully, Santa delivers your deepest Christmas wishes and brings a sense of joy to your life.
Last but not least: may your Christmas be a safe one spent with your family and loved ones.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
P.s. Although I won’t be physically chained to Scarlett O’Chunky as I shall be enjoying my holiday away, there will be posts starting the 30th of December until I return.
